Prayer's Wall (December 5, 2007 - December 11, 2007)

Fix Our Eyes Upon the Lord

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Hebrews 12:1-3)
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Galatians 3: 26-27)

We cannot understand why certain things happen to us or around us. Nevertheless, when you fix your eyes upon Jesus, He will protect you till the end.

Key Prayer Items:

1. Ask God to allow the pure gospel to be spread in Canada, so that people will know that our King is LORD.
2. Ask God to establish His kingdom in Canada, so that all who live here will turn to the one and only King, our Lord of Lords.
3. Ask God to raise up his children in Canada, so that they will earnestly spread the gospel wherever they may reside. When they meet the glorious King, they will not be ashamed.
4.Ask God to help us to be good witnesses, so that we may reflect that You are the King of all ages. May we fix our hope upon You.

Prayer's Wall (November 28, 2007 - December 4, 2007)

Keypoint: People Need the Lord

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 )
As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Matthew 9:9-13 )

Augustine wrote, “There is empty space in everyone’s heart that only God can fill.” Although worldly pleasures can make people happy, only life in Jesus Christ can make people’s lives abundant, blessed and fulfilled. No matter how long you have accepted Jesus as your savior, we still need to come humbly before God to say that we need Jesus.

Key Prayer Items:

1. Lord Jesus, we know that salvation is found in no one else. Many outside the gospel are unaware of You, unwilling to accept You. They try to save themselves. Lord Jesus, open their eyes spiritually, so that they may see that they need You because salvation is found in no one else.
2. Praise God! The church has a burden on mission fields. We pray that God will continue to use His servants, that all may participate. Be with them to broaden Your work.
